The Right Words Go a Long Way
A Few, Well-Chosen Words Make a Big Impact
Copywriting is all about finding the balance between readability and information, brevity and clarity.
The answer often comes in the form of word choice. A few carefully selected words can have a powerful impact on the reader—even more so than entire sentences.
It says everything the first statement does, but it relays the message with authority. Less chest-puffing, more matter-of-fact.
Choose your words wisely
When choosing impact words, consider what you’re trying to say. Don’t fall into the trap of using adjectives to pump up your statements.
Instead, formulate sentences in a way that drives value. Better than the competition becomes industry-leading. Fresher and more noticeable become superior.
In consolidating sentiment into a few well-chosen words, you’re keeping the focus on the broader concept.
In the example above, it’s a carpet cleaning solution. The second statement declutters the idea to drive home the point.
